Contemplations for 2022

four questions to review as you create your new world

Dear Listener,

Today is a simple post which hopes to engage a broad audience (of thoes with a belief system, to those without or are undecided). If you think you’re in the latter group, possibly rest your thoughts on the essence of creation which may be found in the natural world (see video). In the meantime, before this year ends, contemplate any or all of the following points as we transition into the new year;

  • Take a few minutes to reflect on the gifts you’ve received this year, even if small or intangible. Take them in as a practice of gratitude.

  • Consider three insights you gained in the past year about yourself (for example: likes, dislikes, talents, abilities or challenging decisions/situations endured better than anticipated). Clearer self-understanding can ease navigating life.

  • Reflect on three to five actions (or non-actions) which support your optimal health. Consider ways you can live more closely by these insights.

  • Decide on one or two small intentions for the year, keep it simple (for example, I’ll be kind to myself). Decide to commit to this as a practice, not a destination you pass or fail at but one you deepen over a long period of time.

Write your answers down in a journal/weekly planner (for example- on the first page), or jot this on a post it note and place it next to your nightstand, above your desk or on the bathroom mirror- as a reminder… (You can write this anywhere, just do it in a way that can catch your attention so you can carry them into 2023.)

I’m taking time off this week and in its place have included a recording of a natural sound created by our very Earth, the original meditation teacher! :)

Please feel free to share this with anyone who may find it helpful.

Have a peaceful holiday.
